I am searching for a Milam family, as well. My gg-grandfather was William Milam born in Breckinridge county in 1865 and he lived in Jefferson county in 1900 or so, we think. My grandmother was Ola Mae Milam and she was born in the Louisville area in 1900. William was married to Rosa Jane Morris at the time and then William was killed in 1904 in Horse Branch, Ky. by a team of runaway horses. My grandmother was injured in this accident--both legs were broken. Does anyone have any information or know where to send for a death certificate if one does not know the exact date of death?

I am searching for Howell family who lived, I think in smithgrove Ky back around the late l890 thru maybe 1918 or 1920. The Howell family is mostly buried in Beechgrove Cementary by Beechgrove Bpst Church. Have you ever heard of Trammell or Trammell Creek, my mother's birth Certificate says she was born there. Sept.1, 1918 her father, my gfather was named Noah Howell and mother Ader Litchford Howell. They had nine children, all dead except my mother and two brothers. my mother Ina Odell Howell has Alzheimers and is 81 so I don't have anyone to ask about family. I would surley appreciate any info, even minor. Surnames in family Fields, Tabor,Litchford, Howell,Meeks. Thanks Frances Fields Burris E_mail @aol.com

I recently saw your request for info on a William Milam from Jefferson
County, who was married in Bullitt County. I don't know if this will help,
but I remember well, a large family of Milams living in an area known as
Beechgrove in Bullitt County. That was back in the 1930's and they had
been there for years. It could well be the same Milam family that you are
searching. If so, they would probably be buried in the old graveyard
there. While my father was at the seminary in Louisville, he pastored the
Baptist Church in Beechgrove. Let me know if you need more information.
