Looking for information on my descendants. Need some validation of William Smithers m. Mary Winters around 1790-91...had a son John Bate [s] 1790-91-95, no dob validation. William and John went to Tx around 1820. Mary supposedly died in Ind. ??? I have a 1900 Lavaca Co Tx census stating John Bates was born in Ind. but dont know the county or date. any info would be appreciated
Smithers can also be spelled Smeathers, Smothers, all related.
