Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Oldham Co., Kentucky: Beards in Oldham Co., Beard, KY

I am looking for info on the family of my ggrandfather Eugene Ferris Beard. I know he was born in 1852-53 in Beard, KY. He was a physician in Pleasureville in 1876 when he married Josephine Logan Banta. They had 6 children that I know of. I have no info on his parents names or sibs. The only thing I have to go on is a family of Beards living in Oldham Co. in the 1850 census(2 years before Eugene was born) The father was John M. Beard and the mother was Sarah P. The mothers name makes me think this could be Eugenes family as one of his daughters was named Sarah Pryor. If anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative....Thanks
