Does anyone have information on this marriage? Shepherd Whitman married (Mrs.) Polly Carson, abt.1828 in Bullit County, KY. Next information is that he is living in New Albany, IN married to Rebecca Lowe. Shepherd is purported to be some kind of engineer working on steamboats in Louisville at some point in between 1828 and his marriage to Rebecca Lowe. What happened to Polly Carson? Did they have any children? Whatever information anyone can supply would be appreciated.
