Pollock Family in Meade County information needed:

Elsie Rhea Pollock born 1893. Father presumed drowned in Ohio River but his body was never found, possibly murdered. His name was possibly Samuel Pollock born about 1855. Thomas Jefferson Pollock was possibly Samuel's father. Elsie had a brother named Bart and sisters Em and Rhillie.

Later in life Elsie Pollock Baum married Ernest Chism and is buried in Parr Cemetary.

Any information abuot these people or relatives would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching the RAY and WHELAN family histories. They both came into Ky through Nelson, Madison, Washington Cos. and on into Meade and Breckenridge Cos. I have the Rays back to Washington Louis and his father Thomas L Ray living on a farm near Raymond, Ky and I know they came from Madison Co, but before that I am not sure.

The Whelans are well documented back to Maryland in the late 1700s. However, I would like to fill in a lot of areas of family history if anyone else has a Whelan/Meade Co connection. Please contact me. Thanks, Wayne

Also posted under Hardin County. Research Harmon Coffman who married Elizabeth B. Pearman. Believe that to be second marriage but have not found record of first marriage.

Believe Harmon the son of Abraham Coffman and Margaret Howey who moved from Virginia to Kentucky in the first decade of 1800s. Therefore, believe Harmon's first marriage to be one in Kentucky. I think Harmon's full name was Richard Harmon Coffman - b. 1802 in Virginia. He died in Grundy County, MO Feb. 15, 1880.

He was my great-great-grandfather. Am trying to pin down that Abraham and Margaret were his parents. And would like to find out who his first wife was. I think this was Elizabeth's second marriage as well so would like to know her first marriage.

Any information may be sent to email{lp0@REMOVETHIScox.net,lp0@REMOVETHIScox.net}.

I am researching the Seelye/Seeley family in Meade County. Seth W. Seelye is on the Hardin County, KY 1820 census. In 1830 he is on the Meade County, KY census, with Benjamin (his son ?) not far away. Benjamin married Jane Craig 26 DEC 1824 in Meade County. He later moved to IL.

Samuel Seelye, Benjamin's son married Martha E. Thomas on 3 DEC 1848 in Meade County KY. There is also a record of Samuel Seelye, son of Benjamin marrying Elizabeth Craig in IL about 1852. Were there two Samuel Seelye's in Meade County or was Samuel Seelye a bigamist?

If anyone has any information on any of these people please contact me.
