Hi ,Im looking for JAMES RUSSELL born in 1824.
We think he was born in Ky. Or IN. And we think he was born around Oldham or Jefferson Co.Ky.But we do not know.One Census says KY. and another says IN.
In 1850 census in Cumberland Co. ILL. He was Married to CATHERINE J. BRADLEY. About 1847 or 1848 we do not know where they were married. They had there first child Sarah in 1849 in ILL. They had lots of childern.But it was put on the census as Bussell.
They Lived by other Russells In Cumberland co ILL. And we do not know how they fit in to the family.On the land records for Cumberland Co. ILL.
Joseph and Mary Russell VA. Lived Three miles a way. This Joseph died in AUG 1850 Bought the land in 1839

Wills Russell
Benjamin R. Russell 38 postmaster Ky.
These guys lived with in a mile or two of each other.James bought land in 1850
