You probably already have this info but I have a copy of some of the pages from the 1860 Census Boone Township, Harrison Co., IN, post office Laconia. On page 110, dwelling 762, family 745 there is a Thomas Holston 40, M, Wagon Maker, b. KY; Elizabeth Holston, 23, F, Housekeeper, b. KY; Mahala A, Holston, 5, F, b. KY; and Emily Holston, 1, F, b. KY. I have a shirt tail connect to Thomas Ridley who married Mahala Holston. They are on the same page of the Census as Thomas Holston. And it looks as though Mahala's father is living with them. Here is what it says, Dwelling 758, family 741, Thomas Ridley 36, M, Farmer, b. IN; Mahala Ridley, 34, F, Housekeeper, b. KY; Wm Holston, 70, Farm Laborer, b. VA. This is all the info I have on these people but it may give you some new leads if you don't already have your answers.

I am looking for the Holston's of Meade Co. My grandfather George W. Holston b 1871 d 10/31/1894 married Mary Francis Sipes on 10/31/1894. He was on the 1880 Census living with the Peak family. His brother may possibly be Thomas Alexander Holston b. in 1859 married to Mary Eliza Sipes b. 1870. His parents were Thomas Holston and Elizabeth Simmons. Also Jennie Holston Hynes may be related. Her father is listed as Thomas Holston and Mary Simons on her death cert. Any help in this connection or Georges parents would be appreciated.
