I was told my great great grandfather came from Daviess Co. Ky. He was born abt. 1801 and his name was JAMES HELMS/HELUMS and he married a woman by the name of ELIZABETH COMBS born abt.1806 she might have been an Cherokee. Any info will be helpful. Thanks Sheryl Hellums
