Clarification of previous post. My ggg-grandfather Lloyd Murphy was born in Hardin County, KY in 1819. He married Paulina Cundiff on May 29, 1849 in Nelson County, KY. They moved to New Madrid, MO before the Civil War and supposedly returned before 1868. I have no idea where Lloyd or Paulina went. No records of death. Their children show up in various censuses. They were:
Laura A. Murphy (Howell)
Franklin Pierce Murphy m. Mary Elizabeth Clark.
Susan C. Murphy
Lualea J. Murphy
Sarah R. Murphy (born in New Madrid, MO)

I can find marriage record for Laura who married John W. Howell but it does not give me any clues as to her parent's whereabouts. I'm having difficulty finding anything on any of the other siblings either. Franklin is my line.
His children include:
(1)Maggie Murphy Underwood
(2)William Pierce Murphy
(3)Mary Plyne "Molly" Murphy Morris
(4)Charley Murphy
(5)George Murphy
(6)Louis Murphy - my grandfather.

If anyone has any clues or similar names in their tree, please send me a line by email or snail mail. Many thanks,
Donald Murphy

My ggg-grandfather supposedly came to KY from MO. He had several family members with him and they dispersed along the way. His son, William Frank Murphy had a homestead in Larue Co, KY. He married Mary Elizabeth Clark (supposedly related to the Clark of Lewis & Clark) in 1874. Their children all left the area, including William and Mary Elizabeth, as that I cannot find their graves anywhere. One of William's sons is Louis Murphy who was given 100 acres of land in Clark County, IN from his dad. That tells me William & Mary Elizabeth somehow landed there. Still no records found yet. I do find a couple of graves of other of William's children but not much else in the way of him or Mary Elizabeth. Louis Murphy is my grandfather. Just wanted to post this data I have in hopes that it might work into someone else's tree. Anyone with any information on any of these names is welcome to share what they have anytime. I'm thirsting for clues. Thank you.
