Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Jefferson Co., Kentucky: Andrew Kreutzer

My ggggrandmother was Johanna Katherina Kreutzer who married George Michael Weyler in Louisville, KY on October 10, 1841. I am almost positive that she was related to your Kreutzer line because I have found birth, death and marriage records from the First German Protestant Church of Louisville in which my Kreutzer and your Kreutzer were witnesses to each other’s events. I have information on John and Anna, John and his 2nd wife Margaret, Henry and Katherine, Andrew and Margaret and a Peter Kreutzer. I just haven’t determined how they are all related. Looking at dates and what I have been able to find, I know that Andrew is the son of John and Anna. It looks as though Henry and Anna Katherine may have been John siblings. Do you have much on these people to help me make a tie? I would love to share any info with you.

Kathy: I got mixed up it was my grandfather that was killed in the buggy accident not my ggrandfather Andrew Kreutzer.

Good morning Kathy: I do not believe we are related as the name Walter E. Kreutzer has not come up in my research to date.
My Andrew Kreutzer was killed in a buggy accident when his horse was frightened by an automobile.
If you live in Louisville or close to it the Kreutzer's are buired in "Cave Hill." They are located not too far from the administration building.
I am sorry it has taken me so long to respond to you but I do not check Kentuckiana Genealogy as I have not had the time to learn how to get to the message section.
I am now living in Florida. I did not realize it had been so long since I put in the help call 2001, wow! 3 years ago, hard to believe.

My ggrandfather was also Andrew Kreutzer. He came over from germany about the same time and settled in Louisville. I don't know about his being a firefighter. He died I believe in the 1940's. His son my grandfather was Walter E. Kreutzer. Are we related?

I have run into a dead end looking for my Great Grand Father Andrew Kreutzer.
He was born in Losnich, Mosel District, Berncastle, County of Trier Germany. His DOB 1839 DOD 31 July 1916 in Louisville, Kentucky. The family burial plot is in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
Wife Anna Mergaretha Conen DOB 25 January 1843, Losnich, Germany DOD 3 January 1916 Louisville, Kentucky
Andrew Kreutzer son of John Kreutzer and Elizabeth Wagner, Losnich, Germany
Andrew was a Louisville Fireman, but the Fire Department can not find the book containing his file.
His naturalization index card indicated he was naturalized at the Louisville Police Court in 1862, Book 35, Page 474. (Louisville Police Court [LPC Nat & PCNB, 1836-1897]) However this book is missing also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
