Tina:
Is the Martin Akers the s/o Joseph and Anna Willis Anderson Akers? If so, I have the Akers line through my children's great-grandmother Dawn Evans Condra. she wrote a book and can be seen at the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library in the Indiana Room on the Akers Family.

Happy Hunting,
Louise

My Akers family was also in Floyd county around this time period.

Martin Akers is as far back as I have.

Martin married Mary Clark 1823 in Floyd Co. In. They had 7 children. Names were ...

I don't check this board ... I googled into it. If you have any connections please email me at tinac@tds.net

Hi, what Akers are you looking for? I've lost a George Acres, b. 4-10-1794; was apprenticed to a Michael Troutman in 1805. Served in War 1812. Md Priscilla Cheshire on 2-25-1813 Bullitt Co., KY.

Priscilla's father moved to Floyd Co., btwn 1820-1830. We thought he might have moved with the Acres/Akers.
