Dale, Are you related to these Weaver's from Nicholas County? My brick wall is George P. Weaver from Nicholas County, KY. He is on the delinquent tax list for Nicholas Co KY in 1834 along with Peter Weaver, also from Nicholas Co., KY. They are possible father and son.

Some settlers to Pleasant Township, Switzerland County, around Moorefield came from Nicholas County Ky in the early 1820's. Three families that I know of are Alfrey, Manford, and Weaver. Also, Boyd's came into the area from Bath County, Ky. The Town of Moorefield was named after Moorefield, Nicholas County. This Moorefield was named after Moorefield, Hardy County West Virginia which was named after Conrad Moore, an early German settler to that area. Anyway, some if not several counties of the Middle Bluegrass area of Ky saw migration into Indiana.
