MOLTHOP/WALTERMAN Louisville, KY

Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Jefferson Co., Kentucky: MOLTHOP/WALTERMAN Louisville, KY

My husband remembers "Uncle Ollie" very fondly. He was a war hero, covered with tattoos. (At least he was a hero to a 12-year-old boy). That's probably "Al Miller."

Raymond must have been my husband's grandfather, who died when Edward (eldest son -- my husband's father) was only a teenager. I think Raymond had an insurance policy, because my husband remembers hearing that Nettie bought a big, black sedan with the insurance money. Maybe you can find out more about him through insurance records. That would have been in the 19 teens or early 20s, and probably very unusual for that time.

I hope this helps. Please share anything you might have found. We didn't even know his name until I found your message, but I do remember Nettie. We called her "Nanny."

Good luck.

Suz

Looking for information regarding Raymond MOLTHOP who married Nettie WALTERMAN and settled in Louisville, KY. My children are descendants on their father's side of Raymond and Nettie's daughter Anita Mae "May" Molthop 1914 - 1999 who married Pete Kessinger then remarried to Al MILLER.
