Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Floyd Co., Indiana: Who does Sudie Scott belong to?

Having a heck of a time tracing the true origins of my great great grandmother, susanna scott white. Some records list her as the child of James Scott and Lucretia Duncan, however from the discrepancies in what I have written from family and inaccurate information, I do not believe that these were her parents. She was born (supposedly) December 3,1860 and died 12/24/1940. It is said that she was raised by the Ducans because her mom died when Sudie was an infant, however records indicate that Lucretia died when Sudie was 16.
Would appreciate ANY info on this puzzling matter.
