Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Gallatin Co., Kentucky: Ross Family

I just found out that my gg-grandfather was born in Gallatin Co. on 1/11/1845. His name was James Irwin Ross. His parents were James Ross, born abt 1809 per the 1850 census, and Malinda Halloran, born 1816 per the 1850 census. According to the census report they were the parents of the following: William H., Jennetta, Mary J., Thomas, Helen M., Sarah J., George N. as well as James Irwin Ross. Does anyone know of this family? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, Craig Ross
