You are talking about a Solomon R Eastman and I have been trying to find out some information about him. My husband's GGGgrandfather was supposed to have been married to an Eastman in Jennings Co. His name was Dr. Edward D. Burns and had his oldest son named Austin Eastman Burns and second son was named Edward Solomon Burns both born in Jennings Co. 1826 and 1830. We also believe that his wife may have passed away in Jennings county and he then remarried after that to an Eveline Marshall in Switzerland county Indiana. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sherry Burns

Judy - Solomon Rowley Eastman was the son of Nathaniel Eastman and Phebe Rowley. They also came to Jennings Co., IN from Attica, NY. Solomon had a cousin Matthew Eastman with a wife Sally Sanborn b. abt 1796, so this sounds like who you're looking for, but I believe Matthew and Sally stayed in Attica, NY. They died there in 1868 and 1870 respectively. Solomon lived near Six Mile Creek in Spencer Township. If you have evidence that there was a Matthew Eastman in this area, I'd sure like to learn about it. Thanks.

Looking for information on a SALLY N. EASTMAN - b: 20-May-1795 in NY, who lived possibly the Sand Creek / Spenser Twp area of Jennings County, between the years 1840 and 1870.
Sally's husband's name was MATTHEW EASTMAN and her brother was SOLOMON R. EASTMAN.
Is anyone researching the Jennings County EASTMAN'S??
Thanks for any help
