Searching for more information re the wives of Stephen Mitchell Jones, 1803-1883. Wife number one appears to have been Mary Montgomery. He married her 11 July 1833 in Harrison County, IN. Wife #2 was Mary "Polly" Goodin Bush, the widow of Christopher Bush and sister in law of Sarah Bush Johnston. Polly was a widow when Stephen married her in Hardin Co KY, records say in 1856. Wife #3 was Eliza White Anderson, again, a widow when Stephen married her. She's buried with him in Grantsburg. Wife #2 died in June, 1863 - where is she buried?? Where's wife #1, obviously the older of Stephen's children belong to wife #1 - do any of his younger children belong to wife #2?? Wife #3 had children from her first marriage - her elder daughter married his oldes son. Need considerably more information than I have. I am the great grandaughter of Robert Owen Jones, 1844-1936, one of Stephen's sons. Many thanks.
