Kentuckiana Genealogy: County: Crawford Co., Indiana: VANMETER AND BULLINGTON of Crawford County

I am looking for any information on the Vanmeter's or the Bullington's of Crawford County. My Great Grandfather was John Vanmeter Jr.b. 1876 and his father was John Vanmeter Sr. b. 1834. I have not been able to find a middle name or initial for either one of them. I am trying to find the cause and date of death of John Jr. and where he is buried. The majority of his family is buried in the Marengo Cemetery, but he is not there. My Great Great Grandfather on the other side was Benjamin Bullington. Any info on either of these two families would be greatly appreciated! I do know that the John SR. was in the military and had seen somewhere that he played a part in running some bad guys out of town. Would appreciate more info on that also.
