Mary Belle Jackson was born 11 Jan 1885 in Grandview to William Jackson and Jenney Brown. Nothing is known of either of them.

Mary had one sister, May, and three brothers, Otto, Henry and Thomas. Around 1890, when Mary was five yrs old, Jenney died of consumption (tuberculosis). William, unable to care for them, gave the children away.

A kindhearted couple named Clarence and Pearl LaRoe of Newtonville took Mary and they were very good to her. Mary was my grandmother. Little to nothing is known of the rest of the people named here.
