I am looking for any information regarding Lingenfelter's of Harrison Co., IN. My grandmother, Geneva Beatrice Lingenfelter (1925-1992) was the daughter of Donald Lingenfelter (1903-1970) and Edith Elsie Miller (1906-1992).

Donald Lingenfelter was the son of Edward Lingenfelter (1867-abt.1906) and Lucretia Hottel (1870-). Lucretia Hottel was previously married to Henry Miller (1862-) on June 3, 1888, I believe they might of had some children.

Edward Lingenfelter was born on Aug. 5, 1867, he died around 1906. He married Lucretia Hottel (SP?) on Sept. 25, 1897 in Central. She was born on March 20, 1870. I believe Lucretia Hottel was the daughter of William Henry Hottel (1839-) and Delilah Watson.

Edward Lingenfelter was a cousin to William Ripperdan (1851-).

Edward and Lucretia Lingenfelter had Emma and Donald. They may of had more children, but I do not know.

Emma Lingenfelter was born Dec. 27, 1898, died June 1974. She married Robert Hardsaw, son of Willis Hardsaw and Elizabeth Daily on Jan. 4, 1918.

Donald Lingenfelter was born April 2, 1903, died Nov. 1970. He married Edith Elsie Miller, daughter of Curry L. Miller (1871-1949) and Emma Belle Watson (1873-1947) on Dec. 27, 1924. Donald and Edith had Geneva B., Eunice J., and Inez J. Lingenfelter.

I don't know Edaward Lingenfelter's (1867-abt.1906) parents, but I know there was a Daniel Lingenfelter born 1782, and died Jan. 1843 in Corydon. He married Sarah Dedman on June 22, 1813, maybe in Harrison Co., IN.

Most likely since the surname Lingenfelter is a unique name, they are descended from Anstatt Lingenfelter (1520-1578) of Germany.

Any information on Lingenfelter's of Harrison Co., IN would be greatly appreciated.
