I used to live in Oldham County, KY in a small town called Pewee Valley, which had a grocery run by Charles Beard, Sr, then by his twin sons Charles and Carl. The store is now closed, but I know they still live in Oldham County. There is also a Beards Power Equipment Co. in Crestwood, KY (Oldham Co.) that may be a relation. I'm sure you can get phone numbers on the Internet or Information. Hope this helps.

I am looking for info on the family of my ggrandfather Eugene Ferris Beard. I know he was born in Beard, KY in 1852-53. He was a physician in Pleasureville in 1876 when he married Josephine Logan Banta. They had 6 children that I know of. Later Eugene had his physicians practice in Lexington, KY at least by 1913. He died in March 1927. I have no info on his parents and sibs. The only thing I have to go on is a family of Beards living in Oldham Co., KY in the 1850 census(2 years before Eugene was born. The fathers name was John M. Beard the mother was Sarah P. The mothers name leads me to believe this could be Eugenes family as one of Eugenes daughters was named Sarah Pryor. If anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative...Thanks
