I have an Elias Bell who said on a census record that he was born in NC. He was born 9 Jan 1808 and died 20 Sept 1860 in Borden, Clark County, Indiana. He married Jemima McKinley born in Shelby, KY. All these locations are near the Ohio River separating In and Ky. The children I have for Elias and Jemima are:
Thos born 1826, James born 1828, Jno born 1831, Elias Jr., born 1833, Alexander born 1836, George born 1838, Gabriel born 1840, Mary "Polly" born 1843 and Sarah "Sally" born 1846. We have found one source that said Elias' father was Thomas Bell and his mother was Rachel Dunbar. This may not help you, but you can never tell where you may find a connection. Good Luck

Searching for names of parents of Franklin Bell. Franklin is only name available. He was born in Kentucky (unknown county) in 1829-30. He moved to Alabama in late !850's. He was a jeweler(watchsmith?). He possibly had some sort of conflict with his family. He married Elizabeth AUSTIN of Morgan co.,Al. He died in 1901. His parents were possibly born in Carolinas (North?) I desparately need their names.
