Dylan, apparently I missed the name of your grandpa. My ggggrandpa Ealum/Elam Gregory was said to have been born in Louisville, but I haven't found any truth to that. I found his name on the Cherokee Dawes Roll as Ealum. His parents were not listed. However I did find an Elam Gregory born in Barren Co, Ky born to Gideon
Gregory and Anna B. or T.Unknown. I think I must be the only person searching for him or his family. My immediate family comes from Indian Territory in Ok and Montgomery Co., KS. Any way
the two mysteries connect?

Dylan,
Have you contacted the Courier-Journal Archives with your inquiry? You will need a date of the accident...however if two people lost their lives in an automobile accident the Courier-Journal surely reported it! As long as you are refering to Jefferson County, Kentucky...and not Jefferson County, Indiana, they can possibly help in your search.
