I am searching for Gentry's of the Dawson Springs, Ky area. Her name was Jesse Gentry and she married a Daniel Witherspoon. They had at least three sons... Cecil Shelby, Charles Raymond and Garland. If you can help me with any of this mystery I'd appreciate your assistance. L.

Family has been searching for a long time for ancestors of James M. Gentry b. 08/08/1836 in KY & died 08/30/1888 in TN or KY. In the 1880 Obion Co.TN census he was listed as married to Martha age 44 born in TN(Martha Francis Tanner)& was shown to have 1 son-William Walter(sometimes shown as Walter W.) age 6 b. 12/14/1873 in Troy,TN.
