dave..I can trace my McCartys from my dad back to a John MCCarty born Va. and dying in KY in 1820. He was a state representative but I dont know when. He had a son Henry D. 1808 in ve, who died inMadison, Johnson Co. MO> I have further info down to my dad, but dont feel you would need that right now. However I will be glad to share it. Ferbal history in the family said Johns father or gfather was married to Sarah Ball, couism to Mary Ball George Washingons mother. Some of the family including Henry D. are buried in Strange cenetary, near Springfiel MO. I hope you h ave info that will tell me who Johns father was. Thank you Leslie Shaughnessyy
