Elsy Sutton Pherigo is the sister of my great grandfather, Martin Duncan Pherigo. An old family Bible showed that she was married to a Lonis, but I haven't been able to find out who until now. I would like to share information with you.

Obituary of Sarah Irena Smith Hall: Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Irena Hall, 79 of 210 Crocker St. (Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa) will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Avon cemetery. Mrs. Hall died of a heart attack Saturday at the home of a son, Hersel Smith, 3028 Scott St. Mrs. Hall was born in Indiana and was a Des Moines resident 34 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Harvey, where she lived before moving to Des Moines. Also surviving are her husband, Henry; two daughters, Mrs. Sula Nail, Harvey; Mrs. Hazel Hall of Des Moines; four other sons, Cleo Smith, Lloyd Smith, Percy Smith and Vernon Hall all of Des Moines; a brother Leonard Loonis, (sic) Glenwood MO.; 30 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.8
