Kentuckiana Genealogy: Queries: General Queries: Castells from Kentucky

Looking for the family of George W. Castell, born in 1922 in DeWitt Co., Il. His father was George Desert who was born 22 Sep 1886 in Ky and died in Illinois in 1921. His father Joseph was born abt. 1856, was a farmer and was shot about 1902 at approx. 37 years of age. Joseph was married to Martha Curtsinger who died abt 1916. Joseph's father was William Castell, who served in Civil War abt 94 or 95 and married Rebecca Sarah Shields. Whether these last two generations were from Ky is not known. My search is just beginning.
