I am trying to locate some information on my Great-Grandmother, her name was Elizabeth “Lizzie’” Bartley, she was born in Kentucky on September 7, 1866, her parents were Elizabeth Crown (this is stated on her death certificate, however the last name looked like it could have been Brown as well) and Joe Bartley she was at least half Cherokee. I believe she had a sister by the name of Evie or Eve. At some point they moved to Lawrence County Indiana. Lizzie married William Alexander Fowler on March 26, 1885 in Monroe County Indiana. She died on February 15, 1906 in Bloomington, Indiana. I do know that Lizzie’s Grandmother (not sure which one) was from North Carolina.
