My brother's wife is directly descended from Juriah Day and David Collins. She has hit the same
brick wall all of you have.

part 3
I suspect that Juriah and David may have met in N.C. as she is reportedly from VA, and he was born in N.C., tho this may be wishful thinking, as my forehead is bruised from hitting the wall.
primary interest is Juriahs birth date, where, and when, and parents names. If actually of Native American (Cherokee) descent, this may never be found, as they often hid their lineage.
The story goes that Juriah was refused burial in the Pottersville MO Cemetery due to her Indian ancestory, and that David dug her grave in/near the corner of the cemetary. Ruhaney is buried in the Pottersville Cemetery. Her stone is almost unreadable now due to time and weather.
We photgraphed all of my wifes Collins and related lines when we could find in that cemetery when we were down at the cemetery in June 03, so that what is there is preserved as much as possible.
Any informaiton on Juriah will be greatly appreciated. We will share what we have, if anyone ties in to Juriah

Part 2.
At one time I found a site that I copied what appeared to be some sort of "Roll" with Juriah and Ruhaney listed, with the letter (I) before their names. I lost the site in a computer crash, and haven't been able to find the site/list again.

I am researching a woman reportedly of Cherokee descent.
I am searching for the marriage of Juriah Day, b. 1799 "in VA", to David Collins b. c1799 in Wilkes Co. NC
We know they were married in Knox. Co. KY (Barborsville) 01/11/1822, and had a daughter Ruhaney Collins b. 10/20/1822 "Near Indianapolis, IN, Marion Co.," They eventually ended up in Howell Co. MO
David and Juriahs's children were:
Ruhaney Collins (My wifes ancestor, above)
Daniel Collins b. c1825 Morgan Co. IN
Aaron Collins b. c1828 Martinsville IN
Bethia Collins b. c1841 in Missouri
Leonard H. Collin (aka "Toady") b. c1855 Martinsville, Morgan Co. IN
We have confirmed back to Juriah on all lines, but cannot find anything about her other than what is listed here.
