My g-grandfather was Andrew Lake who married Nancy Riddle Waddle. Nancy had previously been married to a George Waddle. Rumor is he was killed in or around Crawford IN, but hat is NOT confirmed. Nancy was the daughter of Levi Riddle from Meade Co, KY. Andrew lived in Crawford Co., Boon Twp. Their son, Charles Daniel Lake married Margaret Bruce d/o Leannah Griffin Bruce and a Mr. Bruce (haven't his name in front of me) from Crawford. They owned a grist mill we believe was in the Leavenworth area prior to the flood. Can anyone tell me how divorces were handled in KY or IN after the Civil War started? Also, does anyone have information on these families. Nancy had three sons by George--Abram (Abraham) Isaac and John--they lived with Andrew Lake after 1865.
