The new chainlink fence has been installed around the Layne Family Cemetery at Viney Branch.
Also the the trees have been painted 4ft up from ground level. The project of restoring the cemetery is almost complete. Tomb stone repair is next along with adding new grave markers for the unmarked graves. I have found new info on names of people buired there that are not listed by the web site provided by Linda Conley in boyd county cemeteries guide. New pictures of the fence project I have downloaded to the MSN Groups "Layne Family Cemetery" please feel free to look . The Grant fund givin by the boyd county cemetary board has really been a great help. Along with the money I have saved to put in on this project and the time I have spent lately working in this rain and heat has really gave me a great feeling knowing my family, that has past on are going to be remembered for years to come.

The Cemetary restoration project in progress as of may 1, 2004 . The state of ky & the boyd county ky cemetary board located in Catlettsburg ky. Has issued a Grant to restore my family cemetary at Viney Branch , Catlettsburg ky.
The work is comming to a close very soon . The grounds have been landscaped, a new sign installed in place, 300 feet of chainlink fence is currently being installed as of June 14, 2004
