I don't know your family personally, but in southern Indiana, in Edwardsville. There are several roads named Willis (West and East). I also went to school with 2 Willises who still live in the Edwardsville area. They could possibly be kin.

This man was my grandfather. He & Sara (Sarah)Melton were never married but they produced a son, my father, his name was Ronzie Richard Willis or Melton or Owens. He never knew what his legal name was because we were unable to locate a birth certificate. He was born August 4 (or 5), in 1916, (or 1917). When he was about 2 Sara married Andrew Jackson Owens. He went by the name Jack Owens. Sara died when my father was about 17.

I know Richard Willis married and had a family because my mother told me about a time when she and my father were going somewhere and they stopped by Richard Willis' home. My father talked to him for a minute but his wife never invited them in and had little to say to them.

This all took place somewhere in the vicinity of Burkesville, Albany, Glascow, and surrounding areas. We moved away when I was about 5 so I remember little.

I know that somewhere out there I have relatives & I would really like to find them. Please help me.
