There is an article on Pioneer Daviess Co Indiana in a history book I purchased. Just tossing this out there. "In 11-7-1811 Major Joseph Hamilton Daviess, (ck sp) a Kentucky volunteer arrived with his dragoons......"mortally wounded in the Battle of Tippecanoe while bravely charging Indiana"....this is several pages long and I'd copy and mail it if you can make that connection to your famiy. There is a Henry Pritchard (sp) in Vol I also. Just prompt me name and Daviess Co History Volume I cause I'm on another mission ;-)

My great Grandfather James Issac Hamilton was born in 1844 in Marion or Johnson County Indiana. He married Mary Ann Prichard in 1869 and then moved to Vernon City Missouri and died there. On an 1860 census it said his father was born in KENTUCKY, Mother in Indiana. I believe his fathers name was either James or Robert...he probably had a birthdate of approx 1818-1819. If anyone can help with this puzzle, please e-mail me... cdavies182@aol.com Thank You, Cheryl Hamilton Davies
