Hello Betty,

I know very little about the Perkins line, but I do have a couple in my tree. A John Littleton Perkins (b. 19 Aug 1852, d. 07 Mar 1939) married into my Morris line to Martha Ann Morris (b. 25 Sep 1858, d. 20 Jun 1915), dau of Moses Morris & Sally Skaggs abt 1874. My Morris line lived around Green and Larue Counties, but it appears this Perkins line actually came from Barren County. There are a bunch of them there. This couple actually moved into Metcalfe where they lived out their lives.

John's dad was a James Perkins (b. abt 1820) and his mother Nancy Elizabeth Mears (b. abt 1823, d. 27 Dec 1852). It appears Nancy died right after John was born. This couple lived in the Green and Taylor County areas during their lives. That's about all I know about these Perkins. For reference, Nancy's father was Moses Mears and Edna Hamilton, also from the Green-Taylor County areas.

Would love to know if we might have a connection. There sure are a lot of Mattinglys in my tree...hehe.
