My mother's maiden name is Ellis. Her father is Bernard Gardner Ellis Jr. His father was Benard Gardner Ellis. His father's name Gardner Ellis. His father's name was Robert ellis. Gardner Ellis's sisters names were: Ada, Annie, and Rosie. His only brother's name was Rubin. His mother's name was Sally Harrett Huggins Ellis. If you know anything please e-mail back.

Would like to contact any descendents of Elijah Ellis, head of household in 1850 Henderson County KY census-he was born in Maryland. Also living with him was his son Peter Alexander Ellis, born KY. Enoch E.E. Ellis, born Prince George County Maryland (Elijah's son). Enoch's wife Maria was also living with them. Elijah's daughter Sarah also living there. Peter later moved across the river to Luce Township (and later Rockport) Indiana, where he married 3 times and fathered 21 children with 2 of the wives. Some of the children living to adulthood were:
Clarence DeBruler Ellis
Minta Ellis
Ola Mae Ellis
Frank Ellis (maybe William F--per census)
Allen Armstrong Ellis
Anthony Ellis
Sarah Ellis

There are ties with this family to the Rudisills, Razors, Armstrongs (that tie possibly occurred previously in Ohio), DeBrulers, Savage, Bates. Still have family in Rockport...would like to meet others....
