My gg grandfather John Ward came from Kentucky and was in the 1840 Tippecanoe Indiana census.We do not know his wife's name,but in that census they were between 20 to 30 yrs of age.His son Thomas Ward was under 5 years old along with 2 sisters.I know the history of Thomas,but can not find the family prior to the 1840's. I do know they were Irish and were into horses at some time or another.This is such a long shot but I do not know what else to put down.

I am looking for my missing Stephen D. Ward. He was born in Sullivan Co. Tenn. and lived in Scott Co. Virgina in 1860. He was in the Civil War in Tenn. and Virgina.After that I lose him. I found a Stephen D. Ward that enlisted also in Ervin, Ky.
He may have gone over into that state.He was married to a Mary, do not know her maiden name . He may have married her in Washington Co. Virgina or Tenna.

I am looking for information about THOMAS WARD , b. ca 1834 KY. I don't know name of his parents or siblings. Thomas married Celia M. DENTON (b.ca 1837 KY) in Henderson Co. KY 1857. Would also like to know names of any other children. Their daughter Ella was born 1861 in Henderson Co.KY Were births recorded during that time period in Kentucky?
