Hello Kentuckiana

I am researching the following surnames;
Patterson, Pattison, Barnett, Wright

In Crawford Co. Indiana
Robert W. Pattison (my GGGGrandfather) listed in 1860 Census, as living
in Patoka Twp. and identified as a minister. He was married to Lydia
Tumey, in Mercer County Kentucky in 1833. He had two sons (John Finley
age 20, and Josephus age 12), and one daughter (Ellen age 9). It is
interesting that he used the name Pattison, even though the marriage
certificate in Kentucky was for a Robert Patterson (not Pattison). My
family has retained the Patterson Surname ever since. I am not sure if
we really should be using the Patterson, or Pattison surname at this
point, because I don't know who Robert Pattison's parents were. I have
read about a family of ministers that travelled down the Ohio river,
that had the surname of Pattison, but was unable to draw any connection
to them. I have been told that Robert's wife Lydia died before 1900, and
that he remarried before he died. I don't have any details about this
marriage, and don't know when or where Robert died. I have been told
that he lived in Crawford county until he died, but don't know this for
sure.

Warrick County Indiana
John Finley Patterson (my GGGrandfather) joined the Methodist Church in
Taylorville (name of town changed to Poke Patch, and then Selvin)in 1865
after serving in Co. A of the 49th Indiana Infantry throughout the
entire length of it's existence. He married Margaret Elizabeth Barnett
in 1865 at the same Church.

Spencer Co. Indiana
John McKinley Barnett (my GGGG Grandfather) married Sally Mcneeley
(McNeele) in 1807 in Logan County Kentucky prior to coming to Spencer
County. They came to Spencer Co. Indiana in 1816. He served as a
Magistrate, Associate Judge of Probate Court, and a Methodist Minister.
His children were Ninevah Newton Barnett (my GGG Grandfather). He
married Matilda Wright in 1828. She died in 1847. I know very little
about her. I also have been informed that the Father of John McKinley
Barnett (Name unknown) died and was buried in Spencer County in 1824.

Thanks for reading this
Hope it may be helpful to someone.
