Hunting the marriage of Melvina Brock and Gerride, Gerrard Walker in
Garrad Co., Ky.
Is there someone with access to the 1850 Kentucky Index who could look
for these names. We think probably in Garrard Co., Ky from the

family.
Melvina Brock b. June 05, 1832 in Ky (from the family Bible)
Melvina Brock married #1 Gerride Walker 27 May 1852 in Garrett, Ky.(The

after Melvina and Wm. Martin married and moved to Oregon Co., Mo.
Melvin Brock married #2 Wm. A Martin Dec 1, 1870, Asta, Cass Co., Mo
Melvina died March 11, 1916 in Pangburn, Ark while visiting one of her
sons. no cemetery, no tombstone, grave lost.
Sent to Arkansas for death certificate and their records do not reveal a
death certificate for Melvina Martin.
David Brock(he was old enough in 1865 to be a soldier) was a brother to
Melvina and was in the -
'Army of the Cumberland'
Co. A - 6th KY Calvary
3rd Brigade - lst Division
Confederate Army (I believe)
On Oct. 22, 1855, David Brock married Susan F. EMIS.
I have a copy of a letter David wrote Melvina during the Civil
War.
I am from the Martin family
This is my knowledge of Melvina. Do you recognize anything?

Dear Friends
I am hunting a Barney Fraize who came to Texas from Breckenridge or
Hardin Counties, Ky. in about 1885 or maybe later. Tradition says he
had been married in Ky and his wife was dead. My Grandmother, Martha
Ann DRANE SANDS had lost her husband, Samuel SANDS in Grayson County
about 1880 and she had come to Collin Co, Tx as a widow with one
daughter. She was with two married daughters in Tx. McGUFFIN and TABOR
were their names.
Martha Ann DRANE SANDS married a Barney FRAIZE while in Tex. have
never found a
marriage lisc. He died sometime after 1905 to 10 and she came to
Oklahoma to live. She died in
Greer County, Ok. after 1910 but her grave is lost.
