Gresham &amp; Co. Chicago 1889\n\nDr. Geo. W. Baylor was born in Crawford county, Ind., March 27, 1849,\nand is a son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Hammond) Baylor, the former a \nnative of Augusta county, Va., and the latter of Indiana.  The elder\nBaylor, Andrew J., was a son of George Baylor, of German descent; he \ncame to Indiana at an early day and settled near Georgetown.  George W.\nthe subject of this sketch, was raised on the farm and educated in the\npublic schools and Salem Academy.  He began reading medicine in 1869,\nwith Dr. Saunders, Milltown.  He graduated at the Louisville Medical\nCollege in 1876, and in 1882 graduated from the Kentucky School of\nMedicine, at Louisville, Ky.  He has practiced at Milltown since his\ngraduation.  He was married September 4, 1870, to Miss Sallie J. Vance.  \nShe died November 4, 1872,leaving one child, Cora I.  He married a \nsecond time, October 20, 1874, Alice A. Rhodes, a daughter of Rev.\nJacob B. Rhodes.  She has one child, Nellie E.  Dr. Baylor has been \none of the surgeons of the Air Line Railroad since its completion,\nand was health officer of the county one year.  He is a prominent member\nof the Masonic and Odd Fellows orders.  Is a member of, and one of the\ntrustees of the M. E.
