I am looking for information on an “Allen” family who were from Harrison county, Indiana. Maybe somewhere around Laconia, Thomas Allen moved from there to Crawford County,Indiana.
He married Florence Jones. I am not sure of his birth date. the information I am looking for would be, his mother and fathers name and any siblings, I think he may have had a brother named Frank and a sister named Fern, I was told that Thomas and Frank were told to leave the home and basically raised themselves. I think the year Thomas was born was abt. 1850, He is buried at Marengo, Indiana. If you send me an email please put in subject line “T H O M A S 1 A L L E N”

I am looking for information re Hezekiah ALLEN family.

Hezekiah ALLEN was born 10-5-1833 and died 4-1-1875. He is buried, with other Allen family, at Pfrimmer’s Chapel.

I am fairly certain that Hezekiah Allen is related to my Allen family. When I was about 7 or 8 years old, my Grandmother and Aunt were visiting cemeteries, as they usually did, and we visited some Allen graves; one of them was Hezekiah Allen. I remember it because the name “Hezekiah” was, at the time, odd to me and I remarked about it. My Aunt said “why, honey, they is your Uncle Hezekiah.” Of course, he was long dead when she was born, however, we were there for my grandmother, although he would have already been deceased when she was born as well.
The graves were already very old, and the stones were dark and hard to read. This Hezekiah died in 1875.
If anyone knows who Hezekiah was, I would really like to know. I believe this must be the cemetery. We visited and came home in the afternoon, coming from Clark Co., so it appears to be the same cemetery that we visited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, this is the correct HEZEKIAH ALLEN. Further information re this family will be appreciated.

I did visit the Pfrimmer’s Cemetery (June 2006) and I am convinced this is the ALLEN family the whose graves we visited 60 years ago when I was told “this is your uncle Hezekiah”.

I visited the Historical Society and could not find information re this ALLEN family.

Hezekiah’s tombstone gives death date of Apr 1, 1875. I am supposing, since the stones are together, that Father, Thomas, born abt 1811, died Feb 5, 1861; his wife, Mary, born 1812 and died Nov 27, 1879; Sons, James, born June 27, 1845, death death difficult to read, but looks like Nov 30, 1884; John ALLEN, born Jan 23, 1832 and died Sept 3, 1861.
