“I certify on honor that this Muster Roll is made out in the manner required by the printed notes; that it exhibits the true state of Captain David S. Kay’s Company C of the Twenty -third regiment of the Indiana foot volunteers for the period herein mentioned: that the “remarks” set opposite the name of each officer and soldier are accurate and just; and that the “Recapitulation” exhibits in every particular the tru state of the Company as required by Regulations and the Rules and Articles of War<\/p>\n\n\n\n
