Hill Wounded in Scuffle with Stephen Stuckey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(Originally posted 25 MAR 2012)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cincinnati (OH) Times-Star, October 10, 1871, p. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>STREET AFFRAY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[Special Dispatch to the Times and Chronicle] New Albany, Indiana, October 10-D. C. Hill, a well known boat builder, and Stephen Stuckey, met on Main Street early this morning and had a dispute in relation to foreclosing a mortgage held by Hill &amp; Hewitt. Stuckey denounced it as a swindle and, drawing a revolver, discharged two shots, one striking the top of Hill&#8217;s head and the other cutting his left fore finger. Stuckey got into the skiff and crossed the river.
