They lived in Jennnings County at the time of the 1860 and 1870 census. From info I was given Herman died in Jennings County 4 Sep 1876. I do not have a death date for Cinthia, but she was alive in 1870. I am particularly interested in obituaries and tombstone records for Herman and Cinthia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were in Ohio in 1850, names appearing on 1850 census:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Hiram Gilbert, 56, m, farmer, $350 RE, New York<br>2) Cynthia Gilbert, 56, f, N Carolina<br>3) Catherine Gilbert, 24, f, Indiana<br>4) Martha Gilbert, 23, f, Ohio<br>5) Medad Gilbert, 21, m, Ohio<br>6) Mary Gilbert, 21, f, Ohio<br>7) Albina Gilbert, 14, f, Ohio, attended school<br>8) Cynthia Gilbert, 11, f, Ohio, attended school<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not liiving in the household at that time was Wellington Gilbert, born about 1824-1825. He later moved to Kansas with his family.
