Richard Penn who married Cathrine Moulder was born in 1732 in Md. Learned this recently. That is quite an age difference from him being born in 1763. If anyone can shed any light on Richard please email me. He lived in Rowan Co, N. C. in 1790 Please email me at rubyhugh@yahoo.com. Thanks!

I forgot to tell you that according to the information I have, John Penn b. 1736 and Elizabeth Munford b. 1738 are the parents of Richard Penn. His grandparents are Joseph Penn b. 1717 and Mary Taylor b. 1718(she is from the family of Pres. Zachary Taylor). Richards great grandparents would be John Penn b. 1660 and Lucy Granville b. 1685. John and Lucy are also the grandparents of John Penn, the signer of the Declaration of Independance. This all has to be proved.

I am a descendant of Richard and Catherine. Their son, John Richard Penn, was my ggg grandfather. I have a family sheet that was recently given me by a descendant of William, son of Richard and Catherine. It shows we are cousins of William Penn, the Founder and John Penn, the signer of the Declaration of Independance. My email is rdreaden@mlec.net. Please contact me and I will mail it to you. According to everything I have found, Wm Penn the Founder has no direct descendants with the last name of Penn.
