William Jenner was a native of Milltown, IN, born 04NOV1839. He was the son of Stephen and Mary
Ann (Lawson) Jenner. He learned Harness making and Blacksmithing. He served in the Federal Army and
was Sergeant-Major in the 53rd Indiana Volunteer Infantry. He served three years and eight months, then
farmed and taught school for four years. He practiced dentistry for over 17 years and was elected Justice
of the peace in 1880. He married Sallie J. Waltz, of Marengo, on 13FEB1866.
