DEFUNCT BANKER GUARDED
English, Indiana, Nov. 16-John H. Withers, president of the defunct English bank, has been located at Corydon, Indiana, twenty-five miles from this city. Sheriff W. Q. Ballard left this morning with a posse of 100 men to accompany the ex-bank president to this city and to guard him from an outbreak. Cashier R. H. Willett’s friends in this state and Kentucky have made up a fund amounting to many thousands of dollars to cover any shortage or irregularities that may be found in his accounts.
