My Name is Terrence Vick. My research takes me to Vernon twnsp, I am told that there was an african-american section or town once called Richland
near highway #3. Now where Crosley fish and Wildlife
area is now located. My ancestors once lived there proir to 1850. There was also a church for that com-
munity as well. Could there possibly be any record of
burials for the Kersey’s ? The census of 1850 states
the price of there land. Where do I begin my search ?, or is there any african-american history for Jennings county?
