I’m looking for information on the Kellys who I believe were from Clark Co. Not too sure about this. William m Margaret Mc Lean and had John Barrett Kelly m. Celina White and had William A. kelly m.? and had Francis Marion Kelly m. Mary Elizabeth Applegate who had Golda Pearl Kelly. Any help would be appreciated.

The Kelly family was indeed in Clark County. They migrated from Northumberland County, PA to Jefferson County, Ohio (Steubenville area), to Clark County, Indiana by 1810. Lawrence Kelly was the patriarch. He was born about 1740, married Martha Smith in PA in 1768, and died in 1822 or 23. They died within a day of each other and are buried in Mountain Grove Cemetery. Lawrence was a soldier in the Revolution. Some of the sons moved into Bartholomew County, Indiana-I think William, John and Davis-settling at Azalia. Subsequent generations moved to Clark County, Illinois.
