John Clark died at his home at Galena Floyd County, of paralysis, Sunday evening, aged about sixty-five years. He had been sick but a few weeks. He had always enjoyed remarkable good health and was a very active man during his entire lifetime. He leaves four sons Charles, William, Edward and John Clark, Jr., and four daughters, Mrs. D. M. Scott, of Kansas City; Mrs. W. J. Scott, Mrs. Lindsey Wade, and Mrs. J. D. Dempster, all grown, and his wife to mourn his death. Mr. Scott [Clark] was a farmer of the progressive, and driving order.

Venerable Mother of County Commissioner John L. Clark Passes Away
Mrs. Rebecca Clark, widow of John W. Clark, an old resident of the county and highly esteemed woman, died last night at her home in Greenville township. Her death was due to paralysis. She was eighty-five years of age and had lived in the county the greater part of her life. Mrs. Clark was the venerable mother of County Commissioner John L. Clark.
Mrs. Clark is survived by eight children, four sons and four daughters. They are Charles W., William H., John L., and Clarence of this county; Mrs. D. M. Scott of Kansas City; Mrs. John Dean, of this county; Mrs. Elizabeth Wade, of Borden; and Mrs. Mary Shuman, of this county.
During her long residence in this county Mrs. Clark made many warm friends by whom she was dearly loved on account of her many Christian virtues.
The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon from the church at Galena, and the burial will be in the Galena Cemetery.

Mrs. Rebecca M. Clark, mother of County Commissioner, John T. Clark, died last Wednesday at the home of her son, Edward Clark, between Galena and Navilleton. She was eighty-five years old and was the widow of John W. Clark. The funeral took place at Galena.

Wife of Greenville Merchant is Dead Following Operation
Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Clark, 61 a native of Floyd County, died at 1:35 a.m. at St. Edwards Hospital where she had recently submitted to an operation. She is survived by her husband, Jesse M. Clark, a Greenville merchant, a son, Vernon Clark, daughters, Mrs. Leona B. Clark, Louisville, KY, Mrs. Charlotte Smith, Crawfordsville; and Mrs. Sylvia Richardson, Washington, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Roscoe Wilson, New Albany, Mrs. Mable McCutcheon, Galena; Mrs. Monroe Pitman, Lafayette, brothers, Homer & Edgar Morris, Louisville, and two grandchildren. The body is at the Kahl Funeral home in Palmyra for funeral services at 2.30 PM Tuesday from the M. E. Greenville church with burial in Galena Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary E. Clark, 82, died Wednesday night in her home in Galena following an illness from complication of diseases. The widow of William H. Clark, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nettie Coffman and Mrs. Roger Jacobi, both of Greenville, and Mrs. William Fertig, Galena; and son, Jesse M. Clark, also of Greenville. Funeral services will be held at one o’clock Friday afternoon in the Galena M. E. Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Rites for William Clark, 70 years old, resident of the county who died suddenly of a heart attack Friday afternoon, was held at the Methodist Church at Galena at 2.30 o’clock Sunday afternoon with burial in the Galena Cemetery. Mr. Clark was a native of Greenville Twp. He was the brother of C. E. Clark, a member of the board of County Commissioners. Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Clark, he is survived by a son Jesse Clark, of Greenville and three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Jacobs, Mrs. Nellie Coffman and Mrs. William Fertig, all of Greenville Twp.

The funeral of Mr.William Clark who dropped dead last Friday at the home of his brother John Clark in Galena was held Sunday at the Methodist Church in Galena of which he was a member. He leaves a widow, one son, Jesse Clark, and three daughters, Mrs. Essie Fertig, Mrs. Eliza Jacobi and Mrs. A. S. Coffman, eight grandchildren, Sylvia, Leona, Charlotte and Vernon Clark, Audrey Jacobi, William Fertig, Mrs. Clark Miller and Mrs. Nellie Prusch [Preusch]. He was a good man and was followed to his grave by the largest concourse of friends ever witnessed in Galena.
