My 3rd grandfather was Jacob Ephraim Sandusky, born June 15, 1808 and d. January 3, 1898 in Lexington, KY
Jacob Ephraim’s first wife was Hannah Middleton. He was reported to be a “fine specimen of the old Kentucky gentlemen was very popular in Shelby County
They had 3 children:
1)Oliver Anderson. : born Feb. 7, 1832
2)James Middleton: born Jan. 5, 1834
3)Ann Eliza: born June 21, 1838
Hannah died June 29, 1841 and Jacob m. his second wife Nancy Blades (Blaydes) on June 2, 1842. And they had 6 children:
1)William B.: born March 7, 1844
2)George Simpson: born January 12, 1846
3)Thomas D.: born March 3, 1850
4)John T.: born July 8, 1851
5)Richard R.: born November 3, 1853
6)Mary Jane: born March 12, 1855
In a June 1888 newspaper an article was published regarding the largest family reunion to celebrate Jacob’s 80th Birthday, I have a copy of the article and a copy of Jacob’s family history he wrote for the article at age 80. If anyone is interested please email me
